OTR CDL Class A Single​/Team Driver

Overview

DSL Express and partners now hiring Class A CDL Solo Truck Drivers for OTR and Teams! Company drivers with 2+ yrs of experience and a decent MVR/PSP score. Position available ASAP.

Pay is performance based and we offer percentage pay at 30% and option to switch to miles pay
. Every solo driver here is making well over $100k per year and some guys towards $140k when working year around.

• Preferred Percentage Based Solo Driver Pay: We are paying up to 30% line haul plus bonuses. In this post-COVID market, drivers drive less and make more on this.
• Average pay in dead season is usually between $1900 to $2100 with some rare weeks around $2400+ and a rare slow week around $1500.
• Average pay in peak season is usually between $2100 to $2400 with some rare weeks around $2700+ and a rare slow week around $1900.
• Average miles on percentage pay is reduced on purpose. We save fuel and our contracts make more by the mile. Usually 2000 to 2500 miles in slow season and up to around 3000 in busy times.
• You don’t have to chase the miles to earn more. Plenty of time to make stops with fewer missed appointments on drops and pickups.

• Standard Miles Based Solo Driver Pay: Every driver has the option to switch to miles pay up to 60 cents plus bonuses depending on EXP and MVR (up to 65 for manual drivers).
• Average miles when doing miles pay is between 2500 and 3600 per week. Some drivers do more.
• The average gross income is roughly $1600 to $2400 per week per driver (a bit less for automatic only drivers).

• Want to drive in a team provided you have a team member?
• Up to 75 cents per mile plus bonuses depending on EXP and MVRs of the team.
• Average miles when doing miles pay is between 5500 and 7000 per week (middle to lower side recently).
• The average gross income is $4100 to $5200 per week total split. Roughly $2000 to $2600 per week per team driver.
• Note:
  
  This is not a team market right now. Solos on percentage generally do better, especially when running by percentage.

• Must have Class A CDL. Additional Endorsements are a bonus.
• Must have 2+ years CDL Exp.
• Must have a clean MVR and reasonable PSP report.
• Dry Vans or Refer work available.
• All No Touch Freight.
• Doesn’t matter where you live.
• We offer unlimited miles within ELD compliance but we push for reduced miles on percentage. It’s more profitable for us and you.

• Weekly pay with direct deposit (no waiting on checks).
• Hazard Occupational Insurance for lost wages, medical, and a death beneficiary payout.
• Monthly bonuses depend on safety, delivery, and communication.
• Bonuses for passed DOT inspections.
• The average gross income for solo is $1900 to $2400 per week per driver (solo).
• The average gross income for the team is $2000 to $2600 per week per driver (team).

• Truck driving is a demanding job. You have to be healthy and able and willing to work.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
• Must have a valid CDL Class A without pending suspensions.
• Must be able to work with modern ELD systems.
• Must be able to pass a drug test. No exceptions.
• Must have a valid medical card issued.
• Must have a stable work history and good references.
• No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents in the last 3 years.
• No failed or refused drug or alcohol test in the last 4 years.
• No DWI/DUI or BAC in the last 4 years.
• No reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years.
• No license suspension for points or unpaid tickets in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations during the last year.
• Must provide at least 3 years of work history; non-driving work history for the past 3 years will also be verified. Previous employers and references will be checked.
