Frontend Developer

Planet Technology has partnered with a Madison, WI based company to locate a Front End Software Developer for a contract role.

We are seeking a strong frontend Engineer with strong React expertise to join a collaborative team building and enhancing enterprise web applications. This role focuses on developing modern, scalable user interfaces while working closely with backend engineers supporting .NET-based services.

This is a hybrid role and candidates
must
be willing to be onsite in Madison for at least two days a week. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain modern frontend applications using React, Type Script, and contemporary UI patterns
• Build reusable components and scalable frontend architecture to support enterprise-level applications
• Integrate frontend functionality with backend services and APIs to ensure seamless data interaction
• Participate in design discussions, technical planning, and peer code reviews
• Troubleshoot issues and contribute to ongoing improvements in application stability and usability
• Help promote frontend development standards and contribute to shared component libraries

Required Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience developing web applications
• Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and component-based design
• Experience working with APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a hybrid team environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with .NET or similar backend technologies
• Familiarity with authentication, API security, or modern authorization methods
• Exposure to cloud platforms, Dev Ops practices, or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in larger enterprise or distributed system environments
• Experience contributing to team development standards and participating in code reviews
