Milesof Summer internship - we're so excited to connect with talented college students who are passionate about movement, wellness, and empowering community care through data!
This is for anyone looking to get hands-on experience working within a mission-driven, Black-owned wellness brand. You’ll be working directly with our founder, lead developer, and core team where you'll gain hands‑on experience building data infrastructure that captures and manages participant activity data as early as December 2025 with the main work season being May 1 to August 31, while supporting our broader mission across marketing analytics, operations optimization, and community engagement.
NOTE: this opportunity is fully remote
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain scalable backend systems capable of handling thousands of concurrent users globally
- Manage robust database architecture for high-volume activity logging and participant data
- Implement API integrations with fitness platforms (Strava, Apple Health, Garmin, etc.)
- Leverage AI coding tools to enhance development efficiency
- Build solutions using both traditional coding and no-code/low-code platforms
- Create automated workflows and integrations using tools like Zapier
- Ensure reliable data capture and storage for the peak summer challenge period
- Strong backend development experience with solid coding logic fundamentals
- Experience developing applications for iOS and Google Play stores
- Database management experience for apps, web apps, or websites with high user volumes
- Hands‑on experience with AI coding tools (please specify which tools you've used)
- Familiarity with no-code/low-code platforms
- Experience with third‑party fitness platform integrations (Strava, Apple Health, Garmin, Fitbit, etc.)
- Proficiency with Zapier or similar automation platforms
This is a part‑time position starting as early as September through the span of the challenge (August 31st) averaging 8-12 hours per week, designed to provide meaningful portfolio‑building experience while accommodating academic schedules. Hours may be flexible around exam periods and school commitments.
