Base pay range$95,000.00/yr - $/yr
The QTI Group has been retained by The Fund For Wisconsin Scholars as they look to hire a Research Manager
. This newly created role will play an integral role in creating the Fund's research agenda, managing research partner projects, running internal research and analysis, and ensuring the quality of data used by FFWS in its mission to improve access to higher education for scholars with financial needs. This role will have the opportunity to meaningfully impact local, state, and national knowledge aiming to break through the barriers to low-income scholar success in higher education.
Location: Must reside within driving distance of the state of Wisconsin. Preference is for the Research Manager to be near Madison or Milwaukee.
About The Fund for Wisconsin Scholars (FFWS):
The Fund For Wisconsin Scholars, Inc. (FFWS) is a private foundation endowed by John and Tashia Morgridge to increase access to and completion of college through need-based grants and scholar outreach. FFWS provides grants, stipends, and on-campus support to graduates of Wisconsin public high schools attending the Universities of Wisconsin system (UW).
FFWS has 18 years of experience in higher education. FFWS has utilized data sharing agreements with scholars, and the UW Regents, since 2007 to continuously improve FFWS, positively impact the UW system, and strengthen the broader research community knowledge.
Responsibilities- Support data-informed decisions by analyzing and interpreting large and complex data sets, identifying trends, patterns and insights related to student retention, academic performance and other academic factors
- Manage partner research projects as directed and approved by the Board or Executive Director
- Collect and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to support strategic planning, policy development, budgeting and research projects
- Develop analysis and reporting used by FFWS Board to communicate research findings to non-technical audiences
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to institutional and academic leaders throughout the state of Wisconsin, both in-person and virtually
- Organize, manage and automate multiple research projects at any time
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within the higher education field
- Experience leading quantitative and qualitative studies (i.e., focus groups, surveys, etc.)
- Proven experience in interpreting and communicating complex data sets
- Advanced proficiency in Statistical Software, Data Visualization tools and data manipulation/extraction practices
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to academic institutions throughout the state during the academic year
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
