Job SummaryAs a Fire Protection Pre‑Apprentice, you will assist Journeyman Sprinkler Fitters by loading and unloading equipment, operating hand and power tools, and helping with the assembly, installation, and repair of pipes, fittings, and related equipment. Additionally, you will support jobsite housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Position Description- Organize materials and maintain jobsites for safety and efficiency.
- Cut openings in structures for pipes and fittings using hand and power tools.
- Prepare pipe hangers for wall or ceiling mount installations.
- Caulk and foam interior and exterior penetrations for fire stopping and draft stopping.
- Assist with organizing and setting up testing equipment for inspections.
- Support and assist Journeyman Sprinkler Fitters, Apprentices, and demonstrate compliance with DJ Safety policies.
- Responsible for leading, exemplifying and promoting the Dave Jones culture and holding team members accountable to all Dave Jones safety requirements.
Starting pay is $20.00 / hour.
Schedule- Four 10‑hour days
