DEPARTMENT: BUILD

The Building Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and uninterrupted operation of Cedar & Stone’s large-scale sauna production facility. This role oversees all facility systems and infrastructure, creating a safe and reliable environment that supports daily production demands and long-term operational needs.

The Building Maintenance Manager is responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance across a wide range of systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. In addition, they oversee the safe operation and upkeep of essential equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and fleet vehicles.

• Facility Systems Maintenance:
  Inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and compressed air systems
• Maintain fire suppression systems and emergency lighting
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of larger equipment and vehicles
• Perform minor carpentry, masonry, and drywall repairs

• Preventive & Reactive Maintenance:
  Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for critical systems
• Respond to urgent repair requests and troubleshoot facility-wide issues
• Maintain logs of inspections, repairs, and service intervals

• Safety & Compliance:
  Support lock out and tag out procedures and hazardous material handling
• Assist with internal audits and building code inspections
• Liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs (e.g., crane calibration, major repairs)
• Track and replenish maintenance supplies, tools, and consumables

• 3+ years in industrial or commercial building maintenance
• Technical skills: electrical, plumbing, and basic carpentry experience
• Experience maintaining electrical motors and control circuits
• Superior troubleshooting ability, knowledge, and experience
• Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions for unique problems
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of attention to detail and organizational skills

This role is a full-time position, located in Superior, Wisconsin. This role is paid at an hourly rate of $25.00 to $35.00, depending on experience. Given that this position includes shop and on-site labor, some overtime is expected, though it must be approved by the Director of Manufacturing Operations and Strategy. Overtime will be paid in accordance with the FLSA at 1.5x over 40 hours.

This role will include 20 days of PTO, which includes vacation and sick time. This role includes health, dental, and vision insurance for the employee and dependents. This role includes 401K with profit sharing.
