Concrete Foreman
The Working Foreman is a hands‑on leader responsible for overseeing daily field operations while actively participating in the work. This role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson who can lead crews, communicate clearly, and solve problems in real‑time.
Responsibilities- Lead and work alongside field crews on installation, maintenance, repair, or construction tasks.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work meets project specifications.
- Train and mentor crew members to maintain high performance and safety standards.
- Serve as the on‑site point of contact for project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and used properly.
- Track daily progress, document work performed, and report updates to management.
- Identify issues or delays and implement practical solutions to keep projects on schedule.
- Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times.
- Conduct daily safety briefings and inspections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets standards and client expectations.
- Address deficiencies promptly and professionally.
- Promote a culture of craftsmanship and accountability.
- 3–5 years of experience in concrete repair.
- Prior leadership or crew‑lead experience.
- Strong hands‑on technical skills relevant to service lines.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics, and work orders.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in construction, concrete, structural repair, concrete finishing, carpentry, and flatwork.

Work EnvironmentWork outdoors in all weather conditions, within a small company culture. Join a team of 9 other field laborers, with the potential to increase to 20 during the summer months. Dress code includes construction work clothes and steel‑toe boots. Work hours are from 7am to 4pm, starting at the shop or job site depending on the project. Essential tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and high‑visibility vests will be provided by the company.

This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 – $44.00/hr.
