Industrial Field Technician

Spartan Staffing Solutions has partnered with a leader in Industrial Cleaning Equipment to seek an Industrial Field Technician for their team in Madison, Wisconsin (Western Territory).

Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician, you will provide exceptional customer service by troubleshooting equipment and delivering effective solutions to promote a cleaner, safer environment. Your responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing products at customer facilities, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality communication and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and engines on various products.
  • Manage service schedules, customer calls, maintenance, and breakdowns efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed records of all service activities and reports.
  • Manage inventory to optimize stock levels and reduce unnecessary trips.
  • Communicate preventative maintenance schedules and future service needs to customers.
  • Estimate repair requirements and prepare quotes accurately.
  • Ensure the safe use and maintenance of company property, including trucks, tools, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with sales teams on customer applications and equipment replacements.
  • Present a professional image and contribute to territory management and customer alignment.
  • Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
  • At least two years of experience troubleshooting and repairing mobile equipment.
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and engines.
  • Customer service experience in a technical environment.
  • Ability to work independently and safely with tools and diagnostic devices.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office and proprietary systems.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Valid driver’s license and adherence to company driving policies.
