Spartan Staffing Solutions has partnered with a leader in Industrial Cleaning Equipment. We are seeking an Industrial Field Technician for their team in Madison, Wisconsin (Eastern Territory).
As a Field Service Technician, you will provide customer service by troubleshooting equipment and delivering solutions that promote a cleaner, safer world. Your responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing products at customer facilities, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service.
You will manage parts, supplies, and tools in your service vehicle, diagnose equipment issues accurately, and determine necessary repairs. Educating customers on proper equipment use and maintenance to reduce future issues is also key.
Specific Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, combustion engines, and similar products.
- Schedule and coordinate service calls, maintenance, and breakdown responses efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities and reports.
- Manage inventory to optimize turns and reduce trips to customers.
- Communicate preventative maintenance schedules and future service needs to customers.
- Estimate repair requirements and prepare quotes.
- Ensure the safe use and maintenance of company property, including vehicles and tools.
- Collaborate with sales teams on customer applications for equipment replacements.
- Present a professional image in appearance and equipment condition.
- Assist with territory boundary adjustments and customer alignment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational coursework is a plus.
- At least two years of experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mobile equipment.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, engines, and related equipment.
- Customer service experience in technical roles.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic devices.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office, email, and proprietary systems.
- Ability to manage expenses and inventory effectively.
- Valid driver’s license meeting company policies.
