Media Account Executive — In Business Madison

We’re looking for a Media Account Executive who loves connecting with people, asks thoughtful questions, and thrives in a consultative, relationship-driven environment.
This isn’t cold-call chaos or high-pressure selling. It’s long-term partnership building with leaders across the region, backed by a respected brand and a supportive team.
What You’ll Do- Build and nurture relationships with business owners, marketers, and executives across the Capital Region
- Manage an existing book of business with a focus on renewals, growth, and long-term partnership
- Lead discovery conversations to understand client goals and recommend the right mix of print, digital, and event opportunities
- Collaborate with editorial, events, and production teams to deliver seamless campaigns
- Maintain accurate account information, forecasts, and activity notes
- Represent In Business Madison at events and in the community
- 2+ years of sales experience (media, marketing, or any relationship-driven environment is a plus)
- Strong communication skills — curious, confident, and comfortable leading conversations
- A consultative mindset: you listen first, ask smart questions, and tailor solutions
- Self‑motivated with the ability to manage your own pipeline and priorities
- Someone who values autonomy, collaboration, and doing right by clients
