Lab Assistant
3rd shift:
Sunday-Thursday 7pm-3am
Base pay: $16/hr with 12% differential ($17.92/hr)
Job DescriptionAs a Lab Assistant in the Water Soluble Vitamins team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory by assisting with various tasks. You will work in a dynamic environment, adhering to GMP/GLP regulations, and contribute to maintaining a safe and clean laboratory.
Responsibilities- Assist laboratory personnel to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Weigh and dispose of samples upon completion.
- Place pipettes in the washer and put away clean glassware and pipettes.
- Wash stoppers and maintain a clean laboratory workspace.
- Conduct all activities safely and efficiently.
- Work under GMP/GLP regulations.
- Perform tasks related to microbiological assays, including pipetting.
- Develop skills for future roles involving robotics instrumentation and HPLC work.
- Measure turbidity and record results.
- High school diploma.
- Experience in fast-paced environments such as food service, bartending, or retail.
- Proficiency in pipetting.
- Strong time management skills and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in microbiology, biology, chemistry, or biochemistry.
- Interest in developing skills for microbiology assays and manual laboratory work.
- Potential for growth into roles involving HPLC and other advanced technologies.
You will work in a fast-paced lab setting with approximately 400 employees at the site. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.92 - $17.92/hr.
