What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Perform lab duties including sample preparation and analysis using a pXRF
  • Download and organize data, and dry and prepare water‑well cuttings for permanent archive
  • Assist with sample curation tasks, including moving, lifting, and photographing geological samples
  • Travel to and from the Repository located in Mount Horeb, WI, to assist with fieldwork and sample collection
  • Collaborate with.rollback with team members to complete tasks independently and as part));
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Some knowledge of geology, chemistry, engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or R
  • Must be enrolled for credit at an educational institution and provide proof of enrollment before starting
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Experience in anticoaplab settings or fieldwork
  • Previous coursework or experience related to earth sciences
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
