Position Overview

As a Veterinary Assistant
, you’ll support our veterinarians and technicians in delivering top-quality veterinary services and ensuring every pet receives gentle, personalized care. This position combines hands-on animal care
, client communication
, and clinical support in a warm, community-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
  • Safely and humanely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and small animals
  • Prepare and maintain medical records, exam rooms, and equipment
  • Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, etc.)
  • Monitor animal vital signs and comfort levels
  • Support daily cleaning, sanitization, and clinic organization
  • Communicate clearly with clients and provide compassionate service
  • Manage inventory and assist with front-desk and administrative tasks
Qualifications
  • Passion for animal health and welfare
  • Knowledge of animal handling, behavior, and anatomy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Prior experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or pet care facility preferred
  • Veterinary Assistant certification or training a plus (not required)
  • Reliable, positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
