Travel RN - Neuro ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position at a Magnet-designated, top-ranked Wisconsin hospital, requiring ICP or ventriculostomy experience and a completed prior travel assignment.

Job Details

• 18-bed Neuro ICU in a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital and comprehensive stroke center ranked #1 in Wisconsin,

• Critically ill adult patients with neuro diagnoses including stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, surgical resections, and trauma,

• Specialized procedures include hemodynamic monitoring, hypothermia management, and ICP/ventriculostomy care,

• Night shift:  (3x12-hour shifts),

• Every other weekend required, with some holiday coverage,

• Epic EMR required, preferably with experience within the last 12 months,

• Travelers are first to float and may be scheduled across multiple units or locations based on staffing needs,

Job Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license issued from candidate's permanent address state,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) only,

• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years,

• At least one completed travel assignment (13 weeks) required - first-time travelers will not be considered,

• ICP monitoring or ventriculostomy experience required,

• Basic arrhythmia/telemetry experience required,

• Must pass a telemetry test prior to start,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility,

• Work within an interdisciplinary team alongside nationally certified physicians and collaborative nursing leadership,
