90% FTE, Monday – Friday, 8 hour shifts with rotating start times between the hours of 5:30am – 9:00am. No holidays, weekends, on‑call or overnights. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at the Madison Surgery Center in Madison, WI.

• Deliver comprehensive perioperative and peri anesthesia care across several surgical specialties, including ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Hand, Foot, Ortho (scopes), General, and some GYN.
• Provide comprehensive care for surgical patients by preparing them for surgery. This includes Perioperative Checklists, IV placement and Medication Administration.
• Provide care in the Outpatient PACU. Critical care experience preferred.
• Develop a therapeutic relationship to enable the patient and family to verbalize understanding of post‑surgical care and discharge teaching.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

• 6 months of RN experience Required
• Experience working pre/post operatively with varied surgical patient populations Preferred
• Emergency nursing, critical care, medical/surgical, or ambulatory surgery center experience Preferred
• Moderate sedation and cardiac monitoring experience Preferred
• 1 year or more of RN experience Preferred

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations – Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR – Upon Hire Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Upon Hire Required
