Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position at a top-ranked Magnet-designated academic medical center in Wisconsin, requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) of a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital and referral center ranked #1 in Wisconsin,

• Tier 1 multi-specialty unit handling cardiac, transplant (kidney and liver), endovascular, laparoscopic, and trauma cases,

• ECMO experience is highly valued for this role,

• Day/Evening shifts, 12-hour shifts from 6:40 AM to 7:10 PM,

• Schedule requires working every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,

• No on-call responsibilities,

• Travelers are first to float and may be scheduled across multiple units or locations based on staffing needs,

Job Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license held from the candidate's permanent address state,

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required,

• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years,

• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include coordinating with the OR multidisciplinary team to plan and facilitate patient care, surgical case progression, and efficient case turnover,

• The facility is a leading academic teaching institution and national referral center,

• If the primary CVOR unit no longer has a staffing need, shifts will be reassigned to another unit to fulfill the contract,

• On-site parking requires a permit through UW Transportation; alternative options include bus, park & ride, and private parking,
