Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) will work onsite in both the Pediatric Cath Lab at AFCH and the Adult EP Lab at University Hospital in Madison, WI. The role supports pediatric patients (neonatal to young adulthood) and a wide range of patients in the adult EP lab. On-site at American Family Children’s Hospital (AFCH) and University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Responsibilities- Be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team delivering quality care to pediatric patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures and diagnostic cardiac catheterization in the hybrid cath lab at AFCH.
- Care for patients in the main cardiac EP lab at University Hospital, from young adult to geriatric.
- Practice in a patient- and family-centered care environment.
- Acquire new skills and integrate evidence-based nursing practices into unit culture.
- Engage in shared governance and contribute to quality improvement initiatives and practice changes.
- Collaborate with the team to support safe, efficient, and compassionate care.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Cardiovascular Laboratory:
Six (6) months nursing experience or current participation in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of Nurse Residency Orientation on unit or similar unit. Required. - Relevant RN experience preferred.
- Licenses &
Certifications:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or a compact license; CPR/BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months. Relevant certification preferred.
Work Schedule:
80% FTE, day/evening shift. Operational hours of the Cath Lab/EP lab are 6:00am to 7:00pm with on-call responsibilities for off hours, including weekends and holidays, with a 60-minute response time. Hours may vary by department need. Onsite at AFCH and University Hospital in Madison, WI.
