This unique opportunity is a 100% FTE position scheduled to typically work Monday through Friday, day shift hours, however some off hours or weekends may be required. We are seeking an MSN or DNP prepared Registered Nurse (RN) interested in a unique opportunity to support the onboarding and professional development for UW Health’s Cardiac ICU and Critical Care Float Pool nursing teams:

• Areas of support include the Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiothoracic Surgery (CVCT) ICU — a 27-bed, state-of-the-art cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery acuity adaptable ICU/IMC located at our level one trauma center, University Hospital in Madison, WI.
• CVCT ICU nurses provide highly specialized care for patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions, including cardiac and thoracic surgery, heart and lung transplantation, and advanced medical management of cardiovascular disease.
• Advanced therapies and interventions include ECMO, CRRT, mechanical circulatory devices (VADs), and care for patients with CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic aneurysms and dissections, post-MI and STEMI (including targeted temperature management), cardiogenic shock, sepsis, acute renal failure, and respiratory failure.
