Work Schedule:

90% FTE, 4-5 days/week:
Monday – Friday, with a weekend rotation and occasional holiday coverage. Typical core weekday hours are 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. No call requirements. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to:

• Practice in a dynamic and challenging subspecialty working in close collaboration with interventional radiologists, nurses, technologists and other advanced practice providers
• Care for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings referred to UW Health - Interventional Radiology with acute and chronic illness such as vascular disorders, hepatobiliary disease, acute bleeding, cancer, end-stage renal failure, renal outflow disorders and need for central venous access.
• Perform minor procedures inclusive of central line removals, drain manipulation/removals, G-tube exchanges and other minor procedures as deemed necessary to optimize patient care.
• Perform triage, new patient consultation and daily rounding as an integral member of our expanding inpatient interventional radiology consult service

If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.

Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

• If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include:
  Adult/Gero Primary Care, Adult, or Family.
• If Physician Assistant: Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active PA board certification
