Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift NICU position in Madison, WI, requiring a WI or compact license and strong neonatal critical care skills.
Responsibilities- Position based in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend work required every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Patient care supported with Epic EMR system;
Epic experience required or preferred - Position is part of an interdisciplinary team providing specialized neonatal intensive care
- 16-hour orientation provided before independent work begins
- Travelers may be expected to float to meet NICU coverage needs at nearby campuses
- Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility unless local, with locals accepted at a reduced rate
- Holiday coverage required; travelers must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
- Limit of 1 day requested off during high volume holiday periods as specified
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current NRP certification required
- Minimum of 2 years previous NICU experience required
- At least 1 completed travel contract required
- Experience with epinephrine, nor epinephrine, and dopamine administration required
- Driver’s license required
- Updated work history or resume required
- Skills checklist completed within the last year required
- License verification and copies of certifications required
- One recent supervisory reference required
