As an RN at Watertown Health Care Center
, ensure that residents receive compassionate and comprehensive care. Your role s include direct patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. We seek candidates dedicated to providing high‑quality geriatric care in a supportive, family‑like environment.
Job Duties &
- Perform active direct resident assessment and care.
- Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel in providing resident care.
- Formulate individualized nursing care plans using the nursing process.
- Assess each resident shift and implement changes as needed.
- Assist physicians on rounds and ensure accurate communication of orders.
- Participate in training and supervision of nursing personnel.
- Apply effective leadership and supervisory principles.
- Manage conflict through communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Prepare daily assignments of duties and treatments.
- Identify potential safety hazards and non‑compliance with policy and procedure.
- Maintain accurate resident care records.
- Attend and participate in resident care meetings, staff meetings, and in‑services.
- Teach residents, families, and staff (formal or informal).
- Dispense medication and perform treatments per physician's order.
- Notify residents' physicians and families of significant changes in health condition.
- Ensure patients receive high‑quality, compassionate service.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
- Interact with customers, families, visitors, facility, and corporate personnel.
- Perform tasks as required in hands‑on environments.
- Work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Maintain personal hygiene and comply with dress code.
- Provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
- Current valid Registered Nurse license issued in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Up‑to‑date physical assessment skills and comprehensive nursing knowledge.
- Recent experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing preferred.
- Experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
