RN - Inpatient Weekender, Pediatric ICU

Overview

RN - Inpatient Weekender, Pediatric ICU (Finance) – 60% FTE. day/evening shift. This position is every Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am - 7:30pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI.

Pay
:

• Additional components of compensation may include:
• Shift Differentials: $4/hour evening and $5/hour night as applicable for hours worked.
• Weekend Differential:
  Weekenders are eligible for the weekender differential of $10/hour for hours worked within the weekender core hours.

• Provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families in a state-of-the-art 21-bed unit as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.
• Provide comprehensive care for patients admitted with a wide variety of medical and surgical problems, including: acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO.
• Deliver high-quality care to complex cardiac conditions, including complex congenital heart defects, Ventricular Assist Devices, and heart transplant scenarios.

Education

• Bachelor s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

• Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory:
  Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
• Relevant RN experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
• Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
• PALS within 6 months Required
• Relevant certification preferred
