60% FTE. evening/night shift. This position is every Saturday and Sunday, 7:00pm–7:30am. 12 hour shifts. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI.
Pay and BenefitsPay:
Additional components of compensation may include:
- Shift Differentials: $4/hour evening and $5/hour night as applicable for hours worked.
- Weekend Differential:
Weekenders are eligible for the weekender differential of $10/hour for hours worked within the weekender core hours.

- Join our highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary team to provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families in this state-of-the-art 21-bed unit.
- Provide comprehensive care for patients admitted with a wide variety of both medical and surgical problems, including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO.
- Provide high-quality care to complex cardiac conditions, including complex congenital heart defects, ventricular assist devices, and heart transplant.

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
- Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory:
Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required - Relevant RN experience Preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license from a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact. Upon Hire Required
- Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
- PALS within 6 months Required
- Relevant certification Preferred
