UW Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Outpatient Pediatrics for a job in MADISON, Wisconsin. UW Health is an integrated academic health system with a strong focus on patient-centered care and community partnership.

Work Schedule:
100% FTE, Monday - Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm with one weekend day call rotation per month. Hours may vary based on department needs.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play an integral role in our outpatient and inpatient teams by providing high‑quality, cost‑effective care to pediatric patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
- Be a member of a dedicated, patient‑ and family‑centered team committed to injury prevention and child safety.
- Work autonomously with experienced support.
- Enjoy day‑to‑day variability and flexibility across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Collaborate beyond the hospital walls and engage with community partners.
Education:
Minimum –
- If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
- If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA Program.
Licenses and
Certifications:
Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
If Nurse Practitioner*:
- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
- Active board certification as a NP in the area of clinical practice (Family, Pediatric Acute Care, or Pediatric Primary Care).
If Physician Assistant*:
- Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
- Active PA board certification.
All candidates must have:
Active DEA license or ability to obtain one prior to or upon hire.
* Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
