RN - Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic ICU

UW Health is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our fast‑paced CVCT ICU at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

90% FTE, 8‑/12‑hour rotating day/night shift primarily 7:00 am–7:30 pm and 7:00 pm–7:30 am, with every‑other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Additional shift differentials: $4 / hour for evening, $5 / hour for night, $4.25 / hour for weekend shifts.

• Provide safe, high‑quality specialized care to adult patients on this 27‑bed Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiothoracic Surgery unit.
• Deliver personalized care using technology and a positive commitment to patient and family needs.
• Gain experience caring for patients requiring cardiac and thoracic surgeries, heart/lung transplants, ECMO, and various cardiovascular diagnoses.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred.
• Six (6) months nursing experience or current UW Health Nurse Residency participant with successful completion of orientation – Required.
• Relevant RN experience – Preferred.

• Registered Nurse license in WI or compact jurisdiction – Required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification – Required.
• ACLS within 6 months – Required.
• Relevant certifications – Preferred.
