Nursing Assistant - Neuro Reg Care 8T; FTE; Night shifts; Mon -Fri

Overview

The Nursing Assistant (CNA) practices and performs basic nursing assistant procedures as taught in their training and certification program. The CNA works under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse and receives work assignments that are written and oral with the expectation to complete them within the scheduled shift. This role is on the Neuro/Med-Surgical unit (45 beds) with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team approach to provide high quality, compassionate care to complex neurological, medical and surgical patients, including but not limited to acute stroke, chronic neurological illnesses, neurosurgery, general medical and surgical patients.

• Shift: Nights, 8 & 12 hour shifts;
Monday - Friday and holiday rotation
• Compensation: $20.43+
• Hours per week: 16

Night shifts; 8 & 12 hour shifts;
Monday - Friday;
Night shift starts at 7pm for 12 hour shift; 11pm for 8 hour shift.

The CNA is expected to practice medical asepsis, respect the dignity and privacy of every patient, maintain objectivity during patient care, adhere to basic hospital safety policies and procedures, and practice within their scope of training.

Specific work assignments are provided, and the CNA is expected to complete the assignments within the scheduled shift as directed.

• State of Wisconsin certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Currently CPR certified or eligible for certification
• Must be available the first week of employment from 8AM - 4:30PM for CNA orientation
