Schedule:

12-hour day/evening shifts, 7:00am–7:30pm, Monday–Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
Highlights:

• State-of-the-art 21-bed pediatric intensive care unit at a nationally recognized Magnet-designated children's hospital

• Comprehensive care for critically ill pediatric patients including cardiac anomalies, transplant, ECMO, multi-system organ failure, and Level I trauma

• Mixed PICU/CVPICU patient population with advanced care capabilities including CRRT, VAD, and ECMO

• Epic EMR system; patient ratio typically 1:1 or 1:2

• 36-hour orientation provided; 13-week assignment

• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience; must reside 50+ miles from facility
Requirements:

• Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or valid Compact license from permanent address state (must be in hand at submittal)

• Minimum 2 years acute care pediatric ICU experience within the last 3 years

• Strong Pediatric ICU experience and general cardiac/CVICU experience required; strong Level II experience may be considered if from high-acuity hospital

• Recent Epic charting experience required (within past 12 months preferred)

• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)

• PALS certification (American Heart Association)

• Basic arrhythmia experience and ability to pass telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
