Overview
Conversa Corps is a Denver-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to transforming multi-team crisis response through digital collaboration. Our mission is simple yet powerful:
We help the helpers converse and collaborate.
Through Aid Arena—our free, professional online collaboration space—and Aid Base—our comprehensive database of aid organizations—we connect emergency response organizations of all sizes, from local ad hoc groups to international NGOs. We enable efficient communication, resource sharing, and coordinated relief efforts during humanitarian and environmental crises.
Our vision is a world where all aid providers unite to collaborate seamlessly across boundaries, maximizing their collective impact and bringing hope to communities and a planet in crisis. We believe that human conversation ignites collaboration, that everyone belongs in the arena, and that connection is relief—every voice counts.
Mission Success Host RoleAt Conversa Corps, we believe that every member deserves a warm, personal welcome and the support needed to feel at home within our community. Mission Success Hosts play a vital role in bringing this vision to life. As the first point of human connection for new Aid Arena members, Mission Success Hosts help foster belonging, engagement, and trust from day one.
This is not a traditional customer service role—it is a culture-building position. We do not want Aid Arena to be a transactional knowledge marketplace where people simply exchange information. We want to build a genuine community where cooperation, collaboration, and authentic caring between members defines the experience. Mission Success Hosts transform new members from uncertain outsiders into confident, culturally-adapted community participants who feel they belong to something larger than themselves.
Through compassionate communication, consistent follow-up, and genuine interest in each member and their work, Mission Success Hosts ensure that every member feels seen, supported, and ready to participate meaningfully in the Aid Arena ecosystem. This volunteer role offers a clear career progression pathway:
Mission Success Host → Apprentice Facilitator → Certified Facilitator (paid position).
Mission Success Hosts are responsible for guiding new Aid Arena members through the early stages of their onboarding experience while helping them embrace the cultural adaptation needed to thrive in our collaborative community. This includes welcoming new members, answering basic questions, helping them navigate tools such as Slack and Aid Base, and encouraging early engagement and relationship-building. The primary role begins with making members feel comfortable in the space and building genuine trust as the foundation of the relationship.
From this trust base, Mission Success Hosts guide members through the functional aspects of chat best practices while simultaneously helping members open up, share about themselves, and understand the deeper community and culture being established. Mission Success Hosts monitor the progress, comfort level, and cultural adaptation of approximately 12 assigned members at a time (this ratio may adjust based on observed engagement patterns), identify any barriers to participation, and escalate concerns to the Member Success Manager as needed.
This role is ideal for individuals who have exceptional empathy and sympathy, enjoy connecting with others, have strong emotional intelligence, and want to help build an inclusive and collaborative community.
