The Program Manager, Community Impact Operations supports and strengthens the operations, data and infrastructure of the Community Impact department. This role ensures that internal and external partners receive high-quality, timely and accurate support while managing systems, workflows and project timelines related to United Way of Dane County’s community investment process.
This position provides project management support across the full investment lifecycle - including applications, contracts, reporting and eligibility processes- while maintaining accurate information systems and facilitating cross-departmental coordination.
Key Responsibilities60 % Investment & Data Support
- Provide operational and technical support for Community Impact investment and reporting processes through the use of e-Cimpact including data collection, process creation, forms and application development, reporting, information retrieval and responding to agency inquiries.
- Coordinate regular cross-departmental investment meetings (Finance and Community Impact) to identify, plan and implement investment processes and partner agency agreements.
- Serve as the project manager for the annual State Employees Combined Campaigns (SECC) eligibility process for nonprofits applying to participate in the SECC under United Way of Dane County’s fundraising umbrella.
20 % Department Administration
- Schedule, coordinate agendas and manage logistics for monthly Community Impact Department meetings.
- Serve as the project manager for scheduling and coordinating logistics for the quarterly Agency Executives’ meetings.
- Develop content and coordinate distribution of the quarterly Agency Executive’s Newsletter.
- Support the coordination of meetings- including technology, note-taking, materials preparation and room arrangements – for Vision Council, Community Solutions Teams, and Delegations and other meetings as needed.
- Maintain and input Community Impact dates into the organizational calendar.
10 % Information Management
- Ensure current agency and volunteer information is accurately entered, updated and maintained across organizational databases.
- In collaboration with Technology Services, ensure Community Impact committees volunteers roles and contact information are current in CRM System.
- Manage the listing of agencies that receive funding through the organization to support accurate reporting, targeted communications and data driven decision making.
- Manage the Community Impact Department email inbox and respond or direct public inquiries to the appropriate contact.
- In collaboration with Community Engagement and Marketing, manage the annual sponsorship budget using established decision-making process.
10 % Organizational Support
- Represent United Way in a professional manner to the community, key volunteers and donors.
- Be an integral part of the Community Impact team.
- Participate in organizational activities including attending key donor and community events, during and outside of regular business hours.
- Participate in at least one internal organizational committee.

Minimum Qualifications
