Job Summary:

University Health Services (UHS) is seeking a motivated Health Communication Strategist to join our Marketing & Health Communications team.

The Health Communication Strategist works collaboratively with health providers, public health professionals, and communications colleagues to develop evidence-based health communication and marketing campaigns. This individual will plan, organize, and prioritize campaigns focused on health issues that impact college students in alignment with UHS and Student Affairs strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Writes, edits, and publishes content for various communication projects and marketing platforms to align with strategic initiatives and established communication campaigns

  • Provides project management and execution of communications programs, initiatives, and tactical plans

  • Communicates with stakeholders to verify requests and identify editorial resources

  • Monitors reach and effectiveness of communication campaigns, projects, and initiatives

  • Plans editorial content according to established goals and objects

  • Supports other communication priorities as needed, including media relations, internal communications, and crisis response

Compensation: The starting salary is $60,000 annually, and is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in writing, social media, communications, or producing content for promotional and informational purposes.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, public health, marketing, health education, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in communication, public health, or related field.
  • Experience in public health, clinical care, and/or health promotion.
  • Knowledge of emerging health topics and trends.
  • Ability to work with clinicians and public health professionals.
