JOB REQUIREMENTS:
SHINE Technologies is seeking a Buyer/Planner who will have the primary responsibility of ensuring material availability to support the Project Management/Production schedules. Other responsibilities include managing inventory levels, supporting material revisions, interacting and coordinating with suppliers on a variety of topics, and supporting other business functions as required. The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
- Maintain the integrity of MRP planning parameters (costing, lead times, safety stock, etc.).
- Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material as required by MRP, production schedule, and WRIKE.
- Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems.
- Expedite or defer orders as required based on schedule.
- Coordinate material flows throughout BOM changes, obsolescence, and the introduction of new suppliers or materials due to new product development.
- Manage and resolve issues regarding PO-to-invoice discrepancies, returns, and quality problems with suppliers.
- Communicate with suppliers, both via phone and email, to ensure on time delivery and lead time accuracy.
- Generate and issue reports to Direct Manager and Project Managers to advise of deviations in delivery dates.
- Timely and precise processing of purchase orders.
- Any additional duties assigned by Manager.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience.
- In Buyer/Planner Function Required Experience With Net Suite Preferred
- Sound time management skills, strong sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
- Excellent organization, communication, and follow up skills.
- Experience in production and inventory control.
- Experience working with Machine Shops, PCB Fabrication, Or Similar Experience Preferred
. - Comfortable interacting with engineering groups; occasionally acting as the liaison between external vendors and internal designers.
- Knowledge of commonly used procurement concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
