Position: Technician 1, IVD Product Finishing

Job Objective

JOB OBJECTIVE: Technician with a full understanding of the department including dispensing, kitting and labeling. Uses technical concepts and depth of knowledge to resolve issues effectively.

Core Duties

Setup, operate and maintains manual and automated dispensing/kitting equipment.

Pulls products from inventory and assemble components into kits and kit sub-assemblies using quality system documents, including kit packaging diagrams (KPDs).

Accurately completes all required written documentation for batch records, using good documentation practices.

Reports quality issues and non-conformances to area supervisor in a timely manner.

Follows contamination prevention procedures including cleaning production areas and equipment.

Works in a team environment, both within the department and when collaborating with other departments.

Demonstrates inclusion through their own words and actions and is accountable for a safe workspace. Acts with kindness, curiosity, and respect for others.

Key Qualifications

High School diploma or proven work experience that ensures you are ready to be successful in this role.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain constructive working relationships.

Ability to work quickly and accurately.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at one time.

Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Competency in general math.

Self-motivated and positive approach to work.

Dependable and reliable.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a production environment.

Experience working in an ISO 9000 or cGMP environment.

Computer experience in ERP System such as SAP.

Physical Demands

Ability to remain stationary for several hours at a time.

Ability to move around throughout the day.

Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout shift.

Visual acuity for quality inspections.

Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50-70 lbs. occasionally.

Ability to move up to 500 lbs. on a dolly and 1,500 lbs. on a pallet jack occasionally.

Ability to wear all forms of PPE, depending on activities being performed.

Ability to work in an Environmental Control Room (ECR) environment.
