Grinder Job Description

Join our team as a Grinder, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our metal work pieces. Utilize your expertise in machinery operation and maintenance to produce high-quality products in our state-of-the-art facility.

• Inspect machinery and work pieces to ensure compliance with specifications, reducing malfunctions and associated production losses.

• Dress grinding wheels according to specifications to maintain peak machine capability.

• Stop machines upon discovering problems and make necessary adjustments quickly to minimize downtime.

• Provide quality control by inspecting work pieces from the equipment and removing defective pieces.

• Operate polishing and grinding machinery to grind metal work pieces to prescribed specifications, ensuring high-quality products.

• Finish products by hand using hand tools to ensure surfaces are properly filed or finished.

• Perform basic maintenance on equipment, including lubrication and cleaning, and schedule repairs as needed.

• Conduct basic repairs, such as replacing worn or broken parts, within the scope of expected knowledge.

This position operates, Monday through Thursday, working four 10-hour shifts. Start times are flexible. Overtime is minimal and voluntary on Fridays.

This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, WI.

The pay range for this position is $41000.00 - $57000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Madison, WI.
