1st Shift Shipping​/Receiving

Description

Responsible for the handling and processing of shipments, receiving, work orders, pick slips, transporting inventory, Kanban replenishment and maintaining accurate inventory locations and counts throughout the warehouse.

• Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Fueling Systems Quality System.
• Follow detailed work instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Report problems with safety, quality, process, equipment, and materials to Warehouse Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
• Operate a powered industrial forklift to transport inventory, unload and load trucks.
• Pull and stage orders for shipment or production use.
• Fill and transact work orders, purchase orders, or sales orders.
• Perform cycle counts.
• Perform quality checks on stock items to report defects or damage.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

• Read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Utilize common‑sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
• Provide accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
• Possess interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
• Demonstrate flexibility in a work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
• Complete some moderately repetitive tasks.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
• 6 months or more experience working in shipping or receiving (preferred).

• Basic:
  Barcode scanner.

• Forklift Certification (preferred).

• While performing the functions of this job, the employee is:
• Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; and grip with hand or fingers.
• Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; push or pull; sit; bend or twist; stoop or crouch; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension; activate foot control.
• Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.; stand; walk; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; use upper extremities.
• The employee must continually lift or move 10 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with occasional accurate depth perception and distance viewing.
• Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70 dbs with or without assistance.
• Specific speech abilities regularly required by this job include comprehensible speech.

• This position is subjected to harmful environmental conditions and is located in a manufacturing type environment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• This position is frequently exposed to extreme heat, vibration, and moving mechanical hazard and infrequently exposed to wet/humid conditions.
• This job consists of shift work up to 10 hours per day and may be required to work overtime as needed.
• Respirator fit testing and equipment is provided upon request of the employee.
