Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful execution of mechanical projects from pre‑construction through closeout. The Project Manager is accountable for project financial performance, schedule, and trade coordination, while fostering strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. This role requires exceptional communication skills, proactive problem‑solving, and a commitment to delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage overall project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Support field staff and foremen by providing planning, resources, and coordination needed for project success, including reinforcing safety standards and ensuring safe work practices are followed.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are met.
  • Lead coordination with subcontractors, vendors, and internal trades to achieve seamless project execution.
  • Negotiate, issue, and manage subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Review and process change orders, RFIs, submittals, and construction bulletins.
  • Conduct and lead project meetings, ensuring clear communication of expectations and progress.
  • Oversee equipment procurement, ensuring lead times and deliveries align with project schedules.
  • Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, quality, and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships with general contractors, owners, architects, and engineers (A/E’s).
  • Actively support business development efforts, helping to secure new project opportunities through relationship‑building and exceptional project delivery.
  • Delegate tasks to and oversee Project Engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure their professional growth and successful project outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, proactive thinking, and continuous improvement across the team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or equivalent relevant field experience in HVAC trades.
  • 7+ years of experience in HVAC or Mechanical piping project management or related construction project management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing project budgets, schedules, and trade coordination.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client, GC, and A/E relationships.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and project workflows.
