Verland is hiring Exceptional People to provide Compassionate Care as a Program Specialist for our Residential locations - CLA division.

• Serve as primary advocate for assigned individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Develop, supervise, and coordinate Individual Support Plans (ISP) including assessments, reviews, and revisions.
• Secure all necessary services to meet individuals’ ISP needs.
• Complete and ensure documentation for ISP, Quarterly Reviews, ISP revisions, and meeting reports meets state licensing requirements.
• Supervise, monitor, evaluate, and advise the supervising coordinator (SC) on service and outcome revisions.
• Report changes related to the individual’s needs to the SC and plan team.
• Ensure all ISP content—including protocols for social, emotional, environmental, and restrictive procedures—is included.
• Provide assessment to the SC at least 30 days prior to ISP meetings.
• Review the ISP with the individual and coordinate services in compliance with licensing.
• Document ISP reviews for the SC and plan team.
• Inform plan team members of the option to decline the ISP review document.
• Monitor house funds and monetary needs for individuals.
• Track individual progress monthly through observation and documentation.
• Coordinate DSP training on health and safety, medication, diet orders, and house needs.
• Develop and implement provider services per licensing requirements.
• Maintain fluency on all assigned ISPs.
• Provide ongoing training to staff on ISP and related areas.
• Maintain professional attitude and relationships with staff and peers.
• Schedule and attend medical appointments; monitor follow‑up and implementation.
• Maintain medication administration certification and perform MAR reviews.
• Provide face‑to‑face ISP training to Program Coordinators and DSPs.
• Act as Certified Investigator on an on‑call basis when necessary.
• Perform other related duties upon request.

• Must be able/willing to be on‑call 24/7.
• Knowledge of current practices and regulations for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to monitor programming and provide hands‑on training.
• Empathy and skill to build effective relationships with employees, supervisory staff, Base Service Units, families, and co‑representatives.
• Leadership and organizational skills.

• Master’s Degree + 1 year of direct experience, or
• Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of direct experience, or
• Associate’s Degree or 60 credit hours + 4 years of direct experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Must complete all required clearances and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
