Project Manager - Manufacturing

The Project Manager is responsible for leading customer projects through the full project life cycle, ensuring they align with established project management practices, gating processes, and risk mitigation strategies. This role serves as the main liaison between customers and internal teams, managing project scope, schedules, compliance, and communication to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage customer projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget targets.
- Identify and confirm project requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform and document risk assessments, creating mitigation plans to address potential project challenges.
- Maintain project schedules and records within project management tools such as Redmine (or equivalent).
- Coordinate the delivery of technical documentation, including test plans, bills of material (BOM), and engineering drawings.
- Facilitate planning and review meetings to ensure project milestones and gate requirements are achieved.
- Lead post-project reviews to identify improvements and share lessons learned.
- Act as the primary customer contact for project updates, technical discussions, and issue resolution.
- Review customer purchase orders, terms, and conditions to identify risks or non-standard clauses.
- Coordinate contract reviews and finalize terms that align with company policies.
- Work with legal resources as needed for negotiations and NDAs.
- Ensure compliance with:
- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Export compliance standards and related quality certifications.
- Support other business and administrative tasks as required by management.
- Assist with cross-functional initiatives to improve processes, documentation, or communication flow.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience, preferably in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading projects through the full life cycle using formal project management methods.
- Strong understanding of contract terms, conditions, and negotiation processes.
- PMP certification is preferred but not required.
