The City of Madison is a leader in public sector fleet management. Our fleet is critical to our operations and we are committed to safety, efficiency, and sustainability. We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and dynamic leader who will be charged with continuing our award-winning legacy as Superintendent of the City Fleet Service Division.

Madison has a fleet of over 1,500 pieces of equipment; everything from lawn mowers to fire trucks to police cars to electric vehicles, that are critical to providing service to residents every single day. The Superintendent is responsible for managing everything that entails, including leading the highly skilled team that maintains, repairs, and replaces our fleet. Our focus on sustainability (our fleet is a mix of electric, hybrid electric, biodiesel, and renewable diesel vehicles, including North America’s first electric fire truck) has brought us national recognition and awards.
