Overview

Training Manager - National Guard Connectedness & Relationship Education System (WI, Madison) at Interactive Government Holdings, Inc. (IGH). IGH is a professional services and technology provider to the Federal Government, supporting uniformed service members and their families through strategy, data science, and technology.

Position Summary

The National Guard CARES (Connectedness and Relationship Education System) program requires a contracted Training Manager to support implementation, execution, and ongoing delivery and operations. The role involves planning and conducting site visits, trainings, briefings, and related activities in coordination with the WRF Partnerships and Programs Branch and the NG CARES Director.

Major Responsibilities
  • Under supervision of the National Training Manager, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including the National CARES Team, to support development, implementation, delivery, and operations of NG CARES.
  • Plan, schedule, execute, and facilitate NG CARES courses (locations tentative/subject to change):
  • Executive Leader Course (1.5-day) – approximately 10 per year (locations may include Idaho, Nevada, Georgia, California, Oklahoma, Virginia).
  • Coaching Basics Course (3–5 days) – approximately 15–20 per year (locations may include multiple states).
  • First Line Leader Course (1 day) – 3–5 per year to support NG CARES Area Training Managers.
  • Total Health Basic Course (10 days) – 1–2 states per year (locations TBD).
  • Develop and update instructor guides, participant handouts, and slides in collaboration with the National CARES Team.
  • Review curriculum and suggest enhancements to improve engagement, learning, and retention, and meet evolving organizational needs.
  • Assist in measuring and reporting program effectiveness through evaluations, surveys, observations, and other methods.
  • Plan, schedule, execute, and instruct Train-the-Trainer Courses (at least six). Tentative locations include Boise, ;
    Fort McCoy, WI;
    Columbus, OH.
  • Maintain timelines for administrative tasks and events; collect, analyze, and present data to support program progress and funding decisions.
  • Maintain accurate data files and records to enable program tracking.
  • Coordinate online registrations for events (Army 365 and Microsoft Forms).
  • Attend meetings, present trainings and reports as needed; coordinate with internal/external networks for resources.
  • Provide monthly reports with accuracy, meeting monthly suspense targets.
  • Must have experience with the military, gained through service, military family membership, or military family volunteer work.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and have access to a vehicle for work.
  • Work may require an uncommon tour of duty and flexible scheduling; travel is anticipated regionally and nationally for mobile training team events. Contractor mileage is reimbursed per JTR.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Leadership, Organizational Development, Talent Development, Adult Learning, Program Development, Human Development, Relational Leadership, Military Culture, Program Management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of related experience, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills across diverse audiences; ability to motivate, instruct, and train others.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence at all levels.
  • Relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking virtual environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle; ability to travel up to 50%.
