Assisted Living
As a member of our Maintenance Team
, you will help keep our Assisted Living Community, buildings, and grounds safe, functional, and well maintained. This role supports resident comfort and safety by performing routine maintenance, preventive upkeep, and grounds care while working closely with community leadership.
- Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
- Perform routine and minor maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, wiring, and general repairs
- Maintain furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and water systems to ensure resident comfort
- Replace air-conditioner filters and complete monthly maintenance checklists
- Assist with disaster preparedness, including fire drills and emergency readiness activities
- Notify management of major repair needs involving lighting, HVAC, plumbing, or building systems
- Remove snow, ice, debris, and hazards from sidewalks and grounds
- Oversee landscaping services and assist with lawn care, trimming shrubs, and flower maintenance as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and change positions frequently
- Lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull equipment as needed
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Follow OSHA and facility safety policies at all times
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation
- Participate in company drug testing procedures
This role operates both indoors and outdoors and includes interaction with residents, staff, vendors, and community leadership. Flexibility is required to respond to maintenance needs and emergencies.
Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, equipment operation, and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and follow maintenance schedules and instructions
