What We Are Looking For: A licensed attorney to provide supervision of staff and legal services to the Division of Professional Credential Processing (DPCP).
LocationThis position currently offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Hill Farms State Office Building in Madison at least 2 days per week. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are generally expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview.

Responsibilities
The Attorney Supervisor of the Division of Professional Credential Processing (DPCP) legal team manages and supervises a team of attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff in the provision of credentialing services to professional boards and the Department of Safety & Professional Services (DSPS). This position reports to the Chief Legal Counsel and oversees and manages the legal review of application files, assigns and delegates work to staff, and researches credentialing legal issues.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Providing legal support and guidance to the regulatory authorities on credentialing matters.
- Coordinating and conducting application legal reviews.
- Performing administrative duties such as reviewing and analyzing proposed legislation, recommending changes to existing or proposed statutes, collaborating with DSPS staff from other divisions as well as staff from other agencies, and more.
This position is in schedule-range (71-01) with an annual salary of $104,000 - $120,786
, plus a $2.75 per hour add-on
. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Qualifications
A minimum requirement for this position is a license to practice law in the State of Wisconsin at the time of Final date to receive applications.
