The Business Analyst is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data from multiple systems to support operational decision making and strategic planning. This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to develop business intelligence solutions and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills in Microsoft Dynamics, SQL, Power BI, and the Microsoft Office suite (including MS Fabric), along with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.

Duties and Responsibilities Data Extraction & Reporting
  • Use standard and ad hoc queries or reports to extract data from disparate databases or data sources
  • Build, modify, and maintain SQL queries, data views, and datasets as needed
Data Analysis & Insights
  • Analyze data to produce dashboards, metrics, and insights that inform business decisions
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using SQL, Power BI Dataflows, Microsoft Fabric, or other integration tools
  • Ensure data quality by performing validation, reconciliation, and root‑cause analysis on discrepancies
  • Contribute to overall data architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with governance and security standards
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues, performance bottlenecks, and modeling errors
  • Partner with IT, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Human Resources to design and implement business intelligence solutions that facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval
Documentation & Data Governance
  • Maintain documentation for reporting processes, data definitions, and system configurations
  • Assist with establishing and reinforcing data integrity, data quality, and data governance practices
Qualifications Required Skills & Experience
  • Education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Information Systems or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Automate
  • Strong experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation
  • Hands‑on experience building dashboards and analytics in Power BI
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query)
  • Strong analytical, project management, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical users clearly and effectively
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with ETL processes or data integration tools
  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar operational environment
  • Knowledge of data governance requirements, including internal controls, documentation standards, and audit support — especially as they relate to financial or system‑generated data
  • Strong communication skills – Able to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Able to deal tactfully with Senior Management. Able to create and maintain cooperative team‑building relationships.

  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
