Security Analyst

Our client, a government agency in the public sector, is seeking a Security Analyst to join their team. As a Security Analyst, you will be part of the cybersecurity support team supporting the Wisconsin Department of Correction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to security excellence, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Security Analyst

Location: Madison, WI

Pay Range:

• Detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats across various platforms and environments.
• Participate in forensic investigations and contribute to vulnerability management efforts.
• Support cloud security initiatives and assist with tabletop exercises to enhance security posture.
• Develop and maintain security response procedures and incident reports.
• Collaborate with team members to improve security controls and operational efficiency.

• At least 1 year of experience working with vulnerability management practices, technologies, and tools.
• Proficiency in triaging and analyzing cybersecurity alerts using enterprise technologies and tools.
• Familiarity with phishing mitigation strategies and email threat analysis.
• Experience with incident response forensics and remediation, including tools like Crowdstrike, Sandbox evaluation, and malicious website identification.
• Strong technical writing skills for incident reports and security documentation.
