Position SummaryThis position reports directly to the IIT User Support Services Manager and is part of the User Support Service (USS) team. The Desktop Computer Consultant will provide first and second-level technical troubleshooting, including resolving complex issues using documented procedures. The role requires delivering exceptional customer service to support the institution’s mission through IT solutions.
Responsibilities- Complete installations, configurations, repairs, automations, and modifications of complex technology hardware, software, and associated components.
- Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate first and second-level technical problems for various products and services.
- Respond to inquiries and provide technical information through multiple communication channels.
- Document inquiries, resolutions, and recommend procedural improvements.
- Work independently and collaboratively to ensure high-quality IT support.
- 4+ years of experience in desktop support.
- Strong knowledge of computer software, operating systems, hardware, and networking.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
- Hardware and software troubleshooting expertise.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional and courteous customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 3+ years of experience with Windows 10/11.
- 2+ years of experience with macOS (OSX).
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA).
- Knowledge of computer security best practices.
- Must have an up-to-date flu shot (proof required during onboarding).
- Candidate responsible for parking costs.

Pay RangeCodeworks discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $20 and $30. This range is subject to change based on job‑related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
