Email & App Marketing Associate , Zappos

Overview

Join Zappos as an Email & App Marketing Associate to support and further develop our global email and push notification program. This role is critical to delivering a best‑in‑class customer marketing experience and driving revenue growth.

• Code, build and test email communications and push notifications
• Set up, test, QA and launch dynamic content
• Monitor active campaigns daily and troubleshoot errors
• Design emails and resolve issues using HTML/CSS and marketing cloud developer tools
• Refresh and modernize existing email templates as needed
• Manage calendar across multiple campaigns to ensure on‑time delivery
• Execute A/B tests to continuously improve performance
• Serve as technical expert to optimize reporting, targeting, acquisition and retention opportunities
• Partner with the team to launch new lifecycle campaigns to increase engagement and spend
• Collaborate with technical consultants on new application development and integration

• Implement lifecycle marketing campaigns and journeys
• Modify automations to improve personalization and further business needs
• Optimize automated segments

• Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
• Manage email database, including merge, purge, dedupe, append, etc.
• Work with data engineers and vendors to ensure data synchronization.

• 2+ years of professional marketing experience
• 1+ year of experience with Salesforce, Tableau, Vidyard, and Excel
• 1+ year of designing, building, and launching lifecycle email programs
• 2+ years of scripting or software development experience
• Experience editing HTML in email platforms
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication
• Knowledge of API frameworks and CRM tools like Salesforce
• Project management experience, including resource planning and prioritizing tasks

• Experience with major brands or entertainment projects
• Experience in e‑commerce or advertising
• Data visualization skills
• Advanced Excel knowledge
• HTML, CSS, or JavaScript experience
• SQL knowledge
• Web page and email template design
• Retail operations experience
• Marketing, membership/loyalty, A/B testing, revenue management experience
