Physician Assistant – Electrophysiology Procedural (Finance)

Be part of something remarkable as an Advanced Practice Provider playing an integral role in inpatient and outpatient care teams by delivering high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Be an active member of the cross-functional team, providing comprehensive care to both well and ill adult patients in inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings at University Hospital and UnityPoint Health - Meriter.
  • Manage pre- and post-procedure patients: cardiac ablations, device-based procedures, extractions, cardioversions, and implantable loop recorders, as well as inpatient consults.
  • First assist with pacemaker device placements, generator replacements, ablation procedures, lead extractions, and lead revisions. Independently perform cardioversions, loop recorder implantations, and loop explants.
  • Perform independent clinic visits (local and regional) for electrophysiology patients.
Work Schedule and Location
  • 100% FTE, day shift, Monday – Friday, four 10-hour shifts between 7:00 am – 5:00 pm.
  • Rotating procedural and clinic schedule with potential future 1:6 weekend rotation and two call shifts per week every six weeks, based on service needs.
  • Work locations:
    University Hospital and UnityPoint Health Meriter in Madison, WI.
Pay

Pay range is based on a full-time (100%) position.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited PA program (Required) or
  • Master's Degree from an accredited PA program (Preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (Required)
  • Active PA board certification (Required)
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such a license (Required)
