What does a day in this role look like?
Provide care from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM for clients whose caregiver called in. Care while a caregiver takes time off or a newly enrolled client until a permanent caregiver is found. Schedule consistent days/times; workload and clients shift daily to fit organizational and client needs. Drive between client homes; paid travel time and mileage reimbursement. Positions located throughout Dane County.
*** These clients temporary until permanent caregivers hired. Your schedule then becomes a float style while still maintaining the same days/hours/shifts. ***
- A – Fitchburg – 6:15‑7:45, 7:30‑9:30, 4:30‑7:30, 5‑8, 6‑8:30 – complex cares
- B – Deforest – Saturday‑Sunday 8:30‑11 – complex cares
- C – Cambridge – Monday‑Friday 2:30‑5:30 – complex cares
- D – East Madison – Monday‑Friday 1‑2 hrs – complex cares
- E – East Madison – multiple days 3‑4 hrs 8‑10 – complex cares
- F – Mazomanie – Monday‑Sunday 1‑2 hrs – flexible, light housekeeping
- G – West Madison – Monday‑Friday 5‑9 – complex cares
- H – East – Monday‑Sunday 7‑ hospice
- Toileting, bathing, showering, grooming, incontinent care, bowel programs, etc.
- Transferring clients.
- Assistance with household chores and meal preparation.
- Completed required documentation of records of care.
- Pay starts at $18.00/hr + $1/hr extra on weekends.
- After 6 months receive $18.25/hr; after 1 year $18.75/hr.
- $75 gas card at the end of the 1st week of job performance.
- Mileage reimbursement.
- Schedule – set schedule, every other weekend, no mandated hours, no overtime.

- 18+ years of age.
- Own a smartphone for Electronic Visit Verification (EVV).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance to serve clients throughout Dane County.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Work around environmental hazards such as odors, second‑hand smoke, animals, cleaning supplies, adverse living conditions, etc.
- Available to work every‑other‑weekend and holidays.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Capable of lifting/moving/pushing/pulling 35 pounds.
- 6 months of experience delivering personal cares – in‑home experience preferred.
