Overview
We are seeking a Master’s-level IOP Therapist to join our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Madison, WI. The Primary Therapist will provide individual and group therapy, complete clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team to support clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This is a full-time therapist position ideal for clinicians passionate about addiction treatment, mental health, and recovery-oriented care.
Responsibilities- Provide individual therapy and group therapy for IOP clients
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments, clinical evaluations, and ASAM placements
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans
- Facilitate psycho educational and process groups
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and licensing standards
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and other clinical staff
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and discharge planning
- Provide crisis intervention and clinical support as needed
- Communicate with families and external providers with appropriate consent
- Deliver care using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented practices
- Master’s degree REQUIRED (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field)
- Licensed or license-eligible therapist in Wisconsin (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Experience in substance use disorder, addiction treatment, and/or dual diagnosis preferred
- Knowledge of ASAM criteria, DSM-5, and trauma-informed care
- Strong group facilitation, clinical assessment, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
Full-Time (Daytime hours; some evening groups may be required depending on program needs)
