Mental Health Clinician - Crisis Consult

The Mental Health Clinician - Crisis Consult provides mental health services to patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient units, delivering diagnostic assessment and treatment while partnering with the ED team and psychiatry consult‑liaison and on‑call teams.

This is a part‑time, 0.8 FTE position with shifts of 8/10/12 hours between 1200 and 2400. Days, including weekend shifts, will be discussed during the interview and may vary based on departmental needs.

• Pay range is based on a full‑time (100%) position.
• This position may be eligible for a $8000 sign‑on bonus.
• This position is eligible for a night stipend.

• Prioritize creating an environment where patients feel valued and understood.
• Provide diagnostic assessment and treatment to patients and their families presenting to the Emergency Department and on the inpatient units with mental health crisis/concerns.
• Empower patients’ choices and respect their autonomy by being transparent and engaging them in every step of their care.
• Work closely with the Emergency Department team in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Work closely with the Psychiatry Consult‑Liaison and on‑call Psychiatry teams on safety and admission‑related decisions.

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other behavioral health related field (Required).

• 1 year of experience providing evidence‑based treatments for a variety of mental health and behavioral diagnoses for children, adolescents, and adults (Required).
• 1 year of crisis management skills in hospital, clinic, or emergency department, crisis center counseling, Psychiatric Emergency Services, or Crisis Stabilization unit (Preferred).

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Upon Hire (Required)
• Licensed Professional Counselor – Upon Hire (Required)
• Licensed Marriage/Family Therapist – Upon Hire (Required)
• CPR/BLS certification – Upon Hire (Required)
