We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician at our Madison Facility. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work Monday to Friday (NO WEEKENDS) in a clean, bright environment with heat, air conditioning, and best-in-class health benefits.

Under direction from the Pharmacist-in-Charge and other pharmacists in the Specialty Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician I is primarily responsible for assisting the pharmacist in obtaining all the necessary information for dispensing and adjudicating a medication correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for answering inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals
- Responsible for contacting doctors to obtain necessary prescription information to properly fill a prescription
- Responsible for managing the queues and working oldest orders first
- Responsible for the correct shipment of the specialty pharmacy orders
- May be responsible for ensuring adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, including ordering, receipt, verification of orders, and stocking of pharmaceuticals and supplies
- The Employee will act in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and with the highest ethical standards that we consistently strive to achieve.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent preferred. National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per employee’s residing state’s requirements
- Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
